Unfortunately you have to buy an unlimited data plan with att to receive a valid sim card. However, if you're not willing to fork over the $30 dollars a month for the unlimited plan, there are some methods you could use to unlock your new iPhone. A word of caution though, if att discovers you're using there network with an unlocked iPhone they'll tack on an extra $30 bucks to your usual phone bill.
 
I got a new iphone.
I have my regular att sim card from my blackberry and i putted in my original iphone with the silver back will anything happen ?
People are saying you will have to get iphone plan or something like that.
If thats true can't i just unlock the iphone and put my att card in it and everything is ok?
