i got a good offer for a 1990 honda cr125, is it to old?

i had a great trade offer for a 1990 cr125 but i dont know if the bike will be to old. also know i some about bikes but not enought to fix it if something goes wrong or breaks nor will i have a lot of money to put into it. because i ride a 90cc bike but i had a huge growth spurt and am now about 5'7 so my bike is way to small. and i dont know if i will end up putting alot of money into this bike. but i want something to ride for few years before i go off to collage? any suggestions
