Hello

T Moblile from Sprint recently and I love my new phone but there's one problem! I get no signal in like 90% of my house! I'm missing calls and friends are always geting my voicemail. THis is very frustrating, I've tried the UMA via WiFi but half the time it detects mynetwork but I will get no UMA. I really don't want to return the phone but with my sprint phone i never had this issue.

I guess i'll call T Mobile tomorrow and see what they can do. Anyone else ever this issue??

You could always purchase a repeater from radioshack. But their prices are a little high.
The brand name of the device is WI EX cell phone signal booster.
I liked the first one so much, I got a second one for the shop. Makes one bar of tower, go to 3 to 4. Theres a site that I got it at, that was half the price of RS. So, check around.

You probably have to live with the signal issue unless you have a buddy that has another TMO phone to compare to. I would definately try and get with TMO on the UMA issue. It works excellent for me. Otherwise, I would be SOL since I do not have much signal at my house either.

do you high speed internet?? if you do, get a wireless router, and put that curve and it's handy wifi to work!!

hotspot at home is the addon option where you have to pay extra, it gets you unlimited free calling in and out, but if you don't add the service, but still have wireless, you should still be able to take advantage of great wireless reception!!

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~My Curve and my 8700 both get better signal than any phone I have ever had. I would guess your provider has the issue. Have you had phones with another provider that worked in your house?

my 8800 gets good signal at your hous is ther any bicks or concret areas in you hous wifi also other stuff ling wilress landline phones bluetooth?

I have a regular Townhouse concrete walls but no fortress or anything... MY Sprint phone and Verizon phone had no problems. Neither did Metro PCS! My friend do have problems wih AT&T and T Mobile.

I have a router and my UMA is working better but it's hit or miss sometimes. I also hate to use my anytime minutes to use the UMA when i can use my free night and weekends one!

I do like T Mobile more than Sprint but it's disappointing to find out that i barely get signal in my house and it's in the porch only and maybe my bedroom window!

You guys are awesome thanks for the help!

If nothing else works, and it's only your house that your getting shotty reception in, get T-mobile HotSpot. Will cost a bit more, but you'll have 100% coverage in your house.

However, if your getting bad reception elsewhere (grocery store, work, etc), maybe T-Mobile just isn't strong in your area, and you might be better off switching to another provider.

I saw you said Metro PCS, and I said to myself, "He's in florida"
I'm in FL too, tampa to be exact. I dont get any recection in my house either, I live in a brick apartment on Davis Island though... Nobody gets reception in here, not Sprint, ATT, or Verizon
