can I fix it? I have an 04 Mazda 6 5 door (hatchback). I noticed the other day that there's standing water under the mat in my trunk in the dip where the spare tire is stored. I don't know how long it's been there. It's been rainy lately so is the water somehow leaking into the car? It's a one owner vehicle that's never been wrecked, so there's no reason to have any issues like this. Has anyone ever seen this or know where the water could be coming from? Any idea how to fix this?

OK 1st Remove the tire and mat from the Storage deck. 2 Clean all the water up.3 Look to see if there is a rubber drain plug in the bottom of the storage deck. If there is only a hole you have your leak. If not then we need to check the deck lid seal. To do this take the car to the car wash and spend a few Quarters only around the rear deck. Open and check it after each wash and see if you have found a leak. If the seal is leaking then you can buy one from the dealer for about $65.00
