make it my own? it was face down, theglass is demolished, and thew screen comes up white black and red, there is a sim ccard in it. is it linked to someone hrough apple? or can i send it in saying it was mine, and they'll fix it? or will they know whose it is? and tell me, so i can contact them,. what should i do!

Apple will probably charge you $200 or more for them to fix that iPhone. They might be able to find out whose sim card it really is.

Apple has the majority of serial numbers linked to someone's information. If that iPhone was activated, then they could definitely pull up whose SIM card that is in the phone.

The best you can do is take it to a third party and have it repaired that way...it's cheaper but voids your warranty...but since you don't have one =P.

Apple won't take it since you do not have any information including the papers i.e. warranty. You could pay for it to be repaired like get a new screen and any other stuff. But since the screen is the most expensive part of the product it may be more costly than it sounds but the screen may not be all the way broken (they may just need to fix it up). But I would still bring it in i have the touch and it is wonderful.
For the fix bring it into a authorized retailer!

Hope this helped!
