I found a Rogers Blackberry Curve. Can I use my Rogers SIM in it?

Will I need a new BB plan because the phone I have now it not a BB. Also, the phone is not locked, but when I take the SIM card out, the BB Messenger name is still there. Unfortunetly its a nickname, not a real name.
