I Found a 2003 honda rancher the guy said last time rode it quit and wont start?

So he said they rode it hard and it just quit I wanted to buy it what would be wrong with it? Also what needs done? thanks
 
I hate depends answers, but.......it depends on why it quit. It could be anything from running out of fuel to running out of oil. One is easily fixed, the other costs more to fix than the unit is worth. Unless you get it for next to nothing, or can determine why it quit, I suggest passing on this deal. If the Honda Rancher was "rode hard" until it quit, it's not got much use left in it.
