You see now all the pop-movie stars on the front of magazines, talking about what they ate, or who did what...
If you care that much then you need to get your own life.

Do you see fallen soldiers on those magazines?
No.

That is what should be on those stupid things.

Opinions?
Bunny, get over it..

I made a typo.
Get off my question.

My opinion is that you should spell "disgusting" right, and stop caring what other people enjoy. You worrying over what other people like to read is just like them caring about what pop stars eat.

Yes its disappointing.

My brother, who is a Marine, had discovered a website which posts what Soldiers have died in the Armed Services, starting with the most recent.

I can't seem to compile that info that he gave me, but if you are very interested, try a simple google search and im sure you can come up with it.

We live in a representative democracy with a capitalist economy.

The free market determines what is on the cover of magazines. If people didn't want it, it wouldn't be there.

If you think there should be a magazine about fallen soldiers, why don't you sink your life savings into trying to make that business model work?

Do you really want to see fallen soldiers?
It's a job - go to a far off land, made mainly of rubble - reduce it to smaller rubble.
These guys aren't heros. They're hired thugs. Ready to go beat some poor people who are already on their knees, into the ground.
No wonder they get shot. They each make their choices. They are in a foreign country bashing people about.
And why are they there? to fight terror!
Well hey! Maybe running round the streets of some far-off land waving big guns out the windows of your humvee, might be considered quite terrifying.
Personally I think the military get far too much media exposure. If nobody gave a damn about these wars, the governments would stop waging them. They are all about keeping political figures in the papers.
So yes. I'd rather read the ingredients on a can of beans than offer my mind up for subversion by power hungry politicians.

I'm with you! I've never understood the enchantment with knowing the details of celebrities' lives. In fact, I've even found that it distracts from the value of their work to know some dirt about them.

And I also agree that in these trying times, it seems even more ffrivolousto see report after report of the trivial crap when there is so much of importance that we need to know about.
