I finally watched Twilight

After seeing the trailer for New Moon, I decided I'd give Twilight a watch.

What an awful film, the story is boring, the lead character is really ugly and most of the acting (the girl mainly) was extremely wooden.

I can only think that it's the Harry Potter fans that've boosted this film's popularity.
Me and my girlfriend watched it all the way through, even though after half an hour we were both bored, so as to give it a real go and see if it improved.

I don't see why so many people like it.
2/10

Honestly, when i seen this last year when it first came out i left thinking it was one of the worst movies i'd ever seen. About 5 months later i decided to give the books a go and loved them, i then watched the movie again and it had somehow magically gotten better.
I think, and this is just me, you really need to read the books beforehand in order to appreciate it, otherwise it doesn't make any sense.

Totally agree with you op.

After hearing "Good Things" about it, I decided to watch but I hated everything about it. The lame storyline, the actors/actresses...everything.

Totally boring idiotic trash aimed at teens.

If anyone wants to see a decent vampire film, watch "The Lost Boys" - Now THAT was a good movie.

I'm the same, thought the film was crap but plenty of late teens around here rave about it and I even heard them talking about it as I passed them once and the conversation was literally like this:

"Oh my God, I cannot wait for the new Twilight film it's going to be epic, have you seen the trailer for it, it looks so cool I think (insert lead actrsses' name here) is so fine, I can't wait to see it." This was said at lightening pace with no stops for pauses or breathing. In fact the guy speaking only stopped to move his long hair out of his face so he could continue speaking more fawning drivel as quickly as possible. Emo's, eh? :p

I adored the film. I know the lead buy is famous now, but i couldnt see why. I didnt know why. But I watched the film Saturday afternoon and i now GET IT.

I loved it. I loved every second of it. I cant wait to see the 2nd installment.

I give it 9/10.

its good i thought, solid effor 7 or 8/10

its cool to hate twilight as much as it is cool to love it...weird

i think some saddos make up their minRAB before they even watch it which is stupid

I read the book to see the film (I love the books, reading New Moon at the moment) And I was really let down by the film. I was bored half an hour into it, I don't get the hype. They are also being rushed. :( Seems to be quantity over quality, but, it's Hollywood. ;)

i love a good vampire film but got as far as 30 mins before i gave up

im guessing its an age thing

i do like true blood though

it's become like the Mecca for every shy, awkward, sexually frustrated, misunderstood, lonely, ugly, brace and spectacle wearing, acne-covered, hormone ravaged, misfit teenage girl there is...

...all worship at the altar of "Twilight"

Yeah I watched it the other week for the first time too and I completely agree with you OP.

After i'd watched it I actually felt quite embarrassed for all the people who are obsessed with it.

I watched it for the first time a few weeks ago.

I don't feel either way about it really. It was ok, a bit too 'teen' for me. Probably won't watch it again though, although I may watch the new film as I get cinema free lol.

The film is very average but the books are ok. Im just reading the last one at its much improved on the first so hopefully the films will follow suit and get better as they go along. Actually the first film is very close to the book just more detail in the book as usual and more lovey stuff in the books.

The film is bad, but the books are worse. Terribly written, full of horrible messages for the intended audience (teenage girls) and the less said about the fourth book, the better.
