I fell off my bike, is it safe to ride the bike?

I fell off my bike face first earlier, the front wheel got bent and the front forks absorbed most of the imapact. My question is, would it still be safe to ride my bike or has the crash weakened the frame? Btw I just got the bike last year.

check the bike over for crack or bubble in the paint. if its an alloy or steel frame most likely your fine. carbon on the other hand damage more easily and don't show the damage till it snaps. But falls happen and metal frame can take a beating. with my beater bike lets just say i have been over the handle bars a few time, dropped countless times and even fall down a hill, and its still going.

as for you wheel, is it bent or just out of true. in other words is it a small side to side bend. or did it fold or dent. out of true is an easy fit, a taco or dented may require a new wheel

Take the bike back to the place where you bought it. Explain your mishap accident to them. Ask them to repair or replace the front wheel and check your front fork for damage. They will give you an educated answer to the repairs that need/should be done to your bike. The repairs will be less than buying a new bike.
I had an accident where I went over the handlebars, bent the front wheel, bent one the hand brake levers and bent the derailleur that changes the chain position on the rear wheel gear cluster. Separated my right shoulder (couldn't raise my right arm). Got my bike fixed and was riding again in 3 weeks.
Good luck and happy riding!
