Does it hurt? Is it swollen? Once I made a sharp turn while going really slow, and fell and my foot twisted, but it quickly got a big, egg-sized bump on it. I was going to work at a hospital so I just went in to see a doctor and it turned out to be a broken metatarsal (the side bone near the pinkie). The doc tried to push it back into place but he couldn't so they operated on it and put a pin in it! Later I regretted not trying to find someone who might have had more strength to push it back in, as I hate that I have a pin in my foot (I'd see about getting it removed but right now I don't have health insurance) and my foot has never been quite the same. But a podiatrist told me that it was pretty much necessary because that bone is attached to a tendon and it's like having a super-rubber band on it that keeps pulling it back out of place. So anyhow, if you can still walk it is probably just sprained and maybe just needs "R.I.C.E." (Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation) Ace bandages are great. But I would not try popping any bones around on my own; is there a doctor you really trust around? Use your best judgement. (P.S.: You sound like an intelligent, calm person: you should try going to medical or nursing or e.m.t. school! Then you would know what you were doing and have a way to make a living and help people besides!)
