washing business? My friend and I are 21 and have formed an LLC. washing and detailing airplanes. We started working 3 days ago at a privately owned airport. We do a good job and the everyone loves us, however the flight school that initially contracted us didn't give us the prices we expected. They want $40 for the exterior of a cessna 152, 50 for a cessna 172 and the warrior, and 65 for a twin duchess. Since the entire process takes me and my partner about 3 hours to wet wash a plane in the open heat of the texas summer. What's worse is that private owners are asking the school for the price they gave us. I don't think this hard work is worth such a pathetic amount of money. At the same time I don't want to destroy our customer relations at the only airport we have business at. What can I do to change the situation.

explain to them like you have here you dont want to tread on anyones toes or throw a hissy fit however you do a good job and feel that for the job and time you spend you deserve a fair rate. it might also be worth saying what other people charge as i bet they are not as cheap you are doing it for a very low price indeed!! you can only ask dont ask they will carry on alking over you you need to have a balance of being polite and keeping a good repore and making sure your not mugged off!
