So, I got Counter Strike from a friend for Christmas and I finally put it on my computer today. I have no idea how to navagate in the server and what to do with this or that. Anyway, I tried playing today and when I started a game, it was lagging terribly! :( I don't get it! I have a nice computer, so why won't it work? All I want to do right now is play it and I know that it will either take forever to start, or it won't work. It's starting to get me mad.

Post a time when you have felt like a kid having candy dangled in front of your face. Maybe I will feel better. lol

I feel like that when people make stupid threads, because I want to berate them at great length BECAUSE THEY'RE FUCKING MORONS. But I don't, because I'm really a nice guy.

I feel like a kid with candy dangling in front of my face when I go to work and my coworkers hog tie me to a chair over a pit of lava and dangle candy in front of my face.

uh..i'll go out on a limb here and answer her question...

umm...you say nice computer...but how nice?

also, there are alot of things you have to enter into the console, try things like rate 9999, cl_cmdrate 101, and...well i can't remember. ask the people in game, they've been playing for like 6 years.

is this your first PC first person shooter? just a question, because this game can get real frusterating if your a newbie against someone who's played for six years... :happysad:

yeah, PC first person shooter. My friend is going to come over and fix it. I'm so frustrated with this computer. So yeah, this thread was dumb and I wrote in the heat of frustration. Someone, please delete it. lol

I just need a gig stick so I'm getting one today or tomorrow. I should have looked at the ram, but I was to eager to play. I was SO bored.

Uhh...

That sucks.

This reminds me of one of the Sega/Microsoft/Dell/John Romero suck threads posted by a certain someone whom shall remain unnamed by me.

Fuck no! Don't it off!! There ought to be a way to configure the program to be ignored by the firewall. Your friend should be able to figure that out for you.

I know this a stupid question but valid anyways, you're not on dial-up are you?

Nope, I have cable. It would suck if I had to acutally buy the gig stick, but my friends dad is a maniac on ebay, so he's just going to give one to me. I got so frustrated that I uninstalled everything. Now I feel like a dumbass because I have to do it all again. Go me, I get a stupid point.
