I fancy being scared sheetless...

Be fair, one man's fear is another man's laughter.

'The Exorcist' terrified me when I saw it back in the 70s.
I lost my bottle for watching scary films then.
My daughters can't understand what all the fuss was about.
They've both seen it & think it is rubbish.

Incidentally, "Scared Sheetless" was a name given in jest to Warner Bros. by Tim Burton for Beetlejuice, before they had decided on a name for the movie. Warner Bros. were actually going to use it, but Burton was horrified as it was supposed to be a joke and demanded the film be called Beetlejuice, and it was.

Bit of Saturday afternoon trivia for you there. ;)

Paddy :D

That one seems to stand the passing of time. I've seen it several times and it still puts the beejeebers up me - scared OH too! Recommended it to my youngest son when he was about 18 and it scared the s**t out of him too!

The only film I've ever seen as an adult that actually frightened me was:

Batman Begins. Although only in parts. I certainly wouldn't call it a 'scary film'.

(Did anyone else find Batman scary?)

I find Shirley from Eastenders scary :D

I remember The Burning being good, but that was many moons ago. I don't like gore or anything involving torturous pain so SAW was enough to put me off for life :o

The Ring I thought was clever ;)
