Don't know why, but I wrote a ton of poems last night...let me know what you think of them. I'm not a poet so they're probably not that good...
I close the door
The light’s gone out
My eyes are dim
The fire’s gone
All burnt out
Little pieces on the ground
Little pieces all around
Shattered shards falling down
Silently crying without a sound
Love me
Honor me
Protect me
Hold me
Care for me
Do not break me
All alone sitting here
All alone, forever here
Sitting here quietly without a tear
My face is on
Never fear
Eyes that glow
Heart that breaks
Tears that fall
Don’t worry,
Hidden from you all
Tiny embers
Not a spark
Smoldering gently in the dark
Never again to burst into flame
Never again to be the same
A match unlit
Tells no tales
No story to be written
No future to be told
Embers burn, a little fire
Waiting forevermore
A rock rolls by
Two by two
Embers scream
A little light
Just enough to get us through the night
Your hand in mine
You said
Always be
But then you took mine away from me
Your word unbroken
Unlike my heart
My hand never left yours
Yours just forgot
Stars twinkle up above
Smiling down upon you and me
Ever so happily
Your eyes meet mine
And we promise each other what’s true
I will never leave you
Rain falls from the sky
A star’s heart is shattered
Along with mine
Silently we cry aloud
No one hears
Not a sound
Tears fell from the sky that day
To my heart they doth pray
You have me
You can shake me
You can break me
You can do whatever you like with me
And still
You will have me
What is there?
I’m all there is
Is that enough?
Look into my eyes
And you will see
Now ask me again
Is it enough?
Cautiously I wait here silently
Why haven’t you come to me?
I’ve just been sitting here
I haven’t moved
Maybe that’s the problem
Maybe I should
I’ve missed you
Don’t you know?
My heart hurts
It’s ever sore
So come over here
Come find me
I need you
Don’t you see?
I love you all the time
Everyday you’re on my mind
Do you think of me?
I wonder
Do you love me too?
Do you love me like I love you?
Will you be there for me always?
Like I will be for you
Will you take my hand and heart?
Forever keeping them from harm?
It doesn’t matter if you don’t or do
I love you already,
For always
