I don't understand, why is the USA "debating" about whether or not

evolution should be taught in schools? Countries like Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Mexico, (and all the rest of the South American countries, with the exception of perhaps Uruguay), Ireland, Austria, Greece, Romania, Italy, Georgia, Cyprus, etc. are all more caught up in religious lunacy than America is.

Yet through all that I don't see institutes for 'creation research" or "creation science" or "intelligent design advocacy". Why? Why is the controversy going on here yet countries that are more religious than we are have no problem teaching or accepting evolution?
 
technically their not really debating it. the debate is over. evolution won by a landslide . its just other people have thier right unfortunatly to want creationism taught and school and unfortunatly we have to hear their side of the story no matter how rediculous it is.
 
its cus a bunch of retards want to keep things simple and say god just made the whole universe. Its not like "look at me im god i just made a whole universe." it doesnt worktliek that for me and other people. We have to make things truble sum and go through long explainations to understand stuff. One of the whole reasons why civilizations had such things as god was to explain things they couldnt explain
 
This is th e result of powerful people forming groups to dumb down our population, which helps those with money create a sense of control over us. If we knew how to take care of each other, we wouldn't need guidance and misdirection by politicians bent on denying health care reform. If we know the time scale in geological and evolutionary terms, we wouldn't need fast food and fluoridated water supplies to keep us from thinking critically. So to assuage the church, the alternate reality so many choose over their reality based issues, the truth must be denied. In the us there are plenty of people with money who desire to keep as much of it as possible, and they need a subservient class, a working class, trained to serve. By diverting our collective wisdom through tactics such as these, there will always be anger and violence to threaten us from within, laws and law enforcement to threaten us with also. Keeps us confused, seeking even more 'spiritual' answers. Right where they want us.
