I don't understand? Why do Harley Davidson dealers give test rides to beginners,...

...but refuse experienced riders? I was talking to a HD owner today, he has an older Fatboy, no big deal, and he was telling me he went to the local HD Dealer and asked for a test ride on a new HD, the dealer told him nobody gets test rides and at the same time they were giving a beginner that was never on any motorcycle before a test ride on a new HD.
I don't know if he's telling me the truth or the whole story or not, we were in a conversation agreeing with each other how rude and obnoxious this local HD dealer is.
I told him dealers will be more excited with new customers than customers that already own a HD and are more inclined to give them test rides, and a guy that already owns a HD would know what to expect with a test ride, the new bike will feel the same as his old bike and it wouldn't excite him.

Maybe because beginners do not know what they want exactly. Where as an experienced rider will have a higher probability of saying "no, I do not want to buy this" because they know what they want.
