i dont really get this joke?

ok im pretty sure i no wat it means but just so i no im right wat does this mean?


A black guy walks into this bar with a huge, 3 foot yellow, red and blue parrot on his shoulder....
The bartender looks up and says " MAN, WHERE DID YOU GET THAT.......? "
The Parrot looks at him and says "africa..theres millons of them
i and i think its racist but im only 12 so can some one tell me just in case? thaks!
so can u ppl explain the joke!?
 
It can be taken as racist but the humor in it is that it is a (3 FOOT) parrot that answers the question that the bartender was asking the guy. the punch line is the last line.
P.S : Don't be too heavy with race, if u think something is funny just laugh but don't spread the joke if u think it will hurt someone-i just love laughing
