actually TV performances are one of the only places where they don't have the luxury of throwing up hardware that will fix someone's voice, so that's about the only time that you can gauge if a band is actually talented or not Evanescence is exactly the same way, Amy Lee blows live... computers and audio engineers do all the grunt work, sadly.

I know what you mean though, they make a compelling sound on the album. It's just said because there was a time where people went to see banRAB because they had a good sound to them with nothing more in hand than a mic and a guitar, ya know?

My whole point is to like a trendi song, but not like a band is very top 40 and trendi. Might be a bad thing, might not be a bad thing.

It's like that stupid uncle cracker song, or that finger 11 song. There's 5 or 6 people who i've heard bought the cd just to figure out that the band really isn't all soft and sappy on the cd and they hate it.

I understand where you're coming from, but even groups who should sound good live, like Dave Matthews or someone like that, still sound like ass to me when their live performance is broadcast on TV.
 
I like the song, but when I heard the acoustic version - he can't sing to fucking save his life.

Hoobastank's "The Reason" was me and my ex-GF's "song." It was hot at the time, and we made it our theme song.

When I'm feeling sentimental, I put "The Reason" on repeat on my cell phone, lay on a lambskin rug, hold up an 8 x 10 photo of her, and indulge in a slow jerk, being careful to keep SPMs (strokes per minute) to around 15 with lots of ball carressing. Post-spooge, I dab cum on her chin on the photo and cry myself to sleep.
