I have a 2002 Ford Mustang and i took my subs and amp out last week and whenever i put them back in the amp wouldnt turn green. I have 2 12" Kicker CVRs and a Kicker zx750.1 amp. I took it to a car audio place and they said it was the remote and that the remote output on the back of my stereo was fried because it must've touched the ground and they said they could re run the wire to a fuse for $25 which i dont haveso i took the wire and connected it to the 12v power cord and it went green so then i ran the remote to several fuses and the amp went red then faded to nothing so then i tried to reconnect it to the 12v power cord and it was going red then fading away. Does anyone know the problem????

Dude, even the cheapest head units have some sort of protect on the remote line. I once had a crappy jensen when i was young that kept shorting the remote wire to ground.

All I had to do was "reset" the head unit. Look for a tiny little reset button behind the face or on the back.

If not, unplug the WHOLE head unit for a few minutes, then plug back in and see if that works.

Its possible something is damaged, but most radio makers have this in mind.

You should check to see if the fuse in the remote wire is good, some radios have to be turned off and then back on, or reset

You ran the remote wire to fuses? i thought the remote wire wasnt working.

Or did you mean jumper wire between the 12volt power supply and the remote turn on for the amp.
Check the fuses on the amp.
