Wisdom teeth are said to be vestigial by many scientists. This means early humans may have had a need for it (chewing rough, coarse foods), but they are no longer useful. People usually get somewhere between 1-4 wisdom teeth around age 17-25 and some people can get more than 4 or none at all! My dad never got any, my mom got hers (and had them removed) around 29 and I currently have 2 that grew in fine, one that is driving me crazy and one that is nonexistent. I'm 25 by the way, and having all 3 removed asap. You may get them eventually, or you may never get them. No one knows for sure, but it's speculated that since we no longer need them due to our softer diets, some people just never develop any. Hope this helps.
