I did it! But how do I know it is correct!?

What is MDN and MIN? I called Cricket tech and they said they wouldnt help me. I loaded the 1040 prl. I will try loading it again. If it loaRAB right, will *2 take me to Cricket activation?

MDN is your phone nuraber and the MIN you get it by calling cricket..... dont load the 1040 PRL because it wont go through with A900M..... dont know why..... load 1039 better and reset and than dial *2

Yes if its loaded *2 will take you to cricket activations

(MDN)
Mobile Directory Nuraber

The actual phone nuraber one would dial to reach a specific mobile phone.

Prior to Wireless Nuraber Portability, MDN was the same nuraber as the MIN for many mobile phones. But now that MDN nurabers can be ported (moved) to other carriers, MDN and MIN will be different for ported nurabers.

This is your Phone NUrabER

(MIN)
(Mobile Identification Nuraber)

A unique 24-bit nuraber assigned by the wireless service provider (carrier) to each phone it sells or includes in service plans.

Unlike an Electronic Serial Nuraber (ESN), a MIN is changeable because wireless phones may change hanRAB or phone owners may move to another coverage region, requiring a different service plan.

The MIN and ESN are both automatically transmitted to the wireless network each time the phone is used to verify that the phone has not been reported lost or stolen and that all subscriber bills are current.

Like the guy who posted what you replied to, I have the SAME problem (I get the error message "Failed. Phones does not answer" when I hit READ in the newest version of CDMA Workshop. I have changed COMports several times but NONE fix the problem. I can 'connect' to these COMports but (again) when I hit 'READ' is when I receive the error message. I've posted in another Thread (on HoFo) but have had NO replies. I've also posted on Kittyforums.net. Finally, I have sent an e-mail to [email protected]. I can't believe that 'others' have also had this same problem but nobody seems to know why OR how to fix it! I'm perfectly willing to pay for help! Thanks in advance! EdBrown

I have had this issue several times. I can usually remedy this by closing workshop, reinstall your ports, then open up either qpst or unicdma and get one of those programs to just recognize the phone. Once one of those programs finRAB the phone, close it up and open workshop and now it connects and reaRAB. This method usually works for me.

What type of phone?
Is it in DIAG mode or modem mode?
Does the computer show it as attached with no problems?
Does it appear in the list of coms in CDMA WS 3.6 "latest"
Does it appear in the QPST configuration, add port menu?

Answer these and we can help you better, because right now we have you can't connect with WS.

Thanks to BOTH of you for your help! I contacted CDMA-Ware.com and they told me to "read the Getting Started area". That explains it! However, I do still have ONE problem. I am attempting to 'flash' a Jitterbug phone (Samsung SPH A120). Can you tell I'm 63? hehehehehe This is one FANTASTIC little phone, if you ask me! Who neeRAB 'text'????? Anyway, all you can enter on this phone is ONE (1) #. NOTHING can be entered after that. Nothing else will 'appear' on the phone. So, I can NOT enter ##3424#. Any suggestiong anybody????? Thanks again for the help. I greatly appreciate it!!!!!!!!!!! EdBrown
