I did it! But how do I know it is correct!?

So I am now attempting to unlock and Cricket this a900, have the right drivers and com selected but when click read I get "failed, phone does not answer"

Do have to do something with the phone?
 
So I managed to find a program called UNICDMA to put into DM mode. I have 3 different versions and I keep getting, "Failed to put phone in DM Mode"
Arrrrr. This is so irritating! What am I not doing??
 
Man talk about frustrating. I thought this would be real simple. I am still working on UniCDMA but I still get "Failed, phone wont answer". It seems to connect at COM 3 but when I try to read is when I get that message.

Wierd thing is CDMA workshop will STILL connect even if this phone isnt connected.
 
Oooookay. After searching and searching I foung out that I needed to go into device properties and click on the Samsung USB modem (phone) and change the COM to port 1. Aparently COM 3 was taken? Anyway, I changed the MSL to 000000 and added the Cricket PRL 1040. I applied to settings and all seems fine. I dial 611 and it talks about me "Entering my 10 digit phone # to route me to my home service provider". Of course I dont yet have a # so I testedmy wifes # and it talked about not being able to do it and something about Ranger Wireless solutions?

Anyway, Can someone tell me if I did it right? And now what do I do if I did successfully do it? I tried *228 and nothing happens. if I input *228 again and press send it appears on my phone as *228*228 and dials in to "American roaming.com"
 
This is a Sprint A900M, I dont know what american roaming.com is but i am still unable to activate my phone with cricket. I have loaded 1040 and 1039
 
Boooo. I called Cricket to activate this phone and they wont honor my 1st month free promotion here in Oregon. They said it has to be a Cricket purchased phone. Any way around this?

You should have read it of course there not going to honor it you have to buy a CRICKET Phone Brand new from them in order to get that deal. It states that.
 
how do i check that? I called tech support and the guy told me that they didnt match. My MDN is my phone # and MIN is a # that starts with my area code but the other 7 digits are diff then my MDN
 
I did *2 and it takes me to american roaming? I just called Cricket, got set up with a # and am waitng to get it hooked up but im not sure why it isnt taking me to cricket activation. American roaming? and sorry about the other thread
 
I FINALLY figured it out. I did a little search and found that if I do ##000000# and then manually enter those #'s, that it should worked. And of course it did. Finally I am setup.

Phone still says Sprint on it. I thought it might say Cricket but I am still happy. Thanks!
 
You might also check with Cricket Tech Supoprt to find out if your MDN and MIN are the same or different. I had the same identical symptoms today when trying to swap in my new 6700 (I'm also in my first month of service), and they were different. I put the correct ones in, and it worked like a charm.
