I wasn't deep enough to get it either, but I still thought it was a beautiful film.
I thought Hot Fuzz was better than Shawn of the Dead, but was still crap. I hate Simon Pegg's fat, useless mate, who accompanies him on half his projects. He is the most annoying, talentless fat turd I've ever seen - he spoils everything I see.
Black Hawk Down was loud, brash, macho explosions and, "huh-huh, hoo-rah!" bollocks with a Moby soundtrack. We're supposed to feel sorry for these aggressors, even though they started it.
I don't like his music either, and it seems out of place to have R&B in an old-style adventure film, but was the film really THAT bad? There must be some redeeming features, Shirley...
When will you learn? Don't give these bastarRAB money! They're only going to use your hard-earned to fund Bratz 2, or the next toy-related, childish pile of shite. Just don't pay any money to watch it, even for a joke, and they'll make no money, and making dire crap like that will not be an option for them next time, because they'll have no cash!
