I Demand My Money Back!! The Worst Films You've Ever Had To Sit Through

Ah..seriously the first POTC is definately worth watching. DON'T watch the third...it's long and dull. I imagine I would get told off if I said that too loud. Johnny Depp is quite simply phenomenal in that film. I think he overplayed the character in the third...if that makes any sense at all.

Mr & Mrs Smith. I hate this film with a passion. Admittedly, only went to see it because of the whole Brad/Jen/Angelina saga but christ it was dreadful. The basic plot was just awful. I tried to leave half way through it but tried to go out the wrong door which was locked :o Only a small cinema I hadn't been to before, and I was so embarrassed I sat back down. Can't believe I wasted 2 hours of my life on that film.

Another terrible one was Lord Of The Rings. Watched half an hour and had to leave, absolute nonsense. I'd also say Jarhead and Moulin Rouge, but I had free tickets to see that and bought Moulin Rouge on video. I LOVE musicals but I hated MR.

And a special mention to: The Village, Day After Tomorrow, Without A Paddle and Van Helsing which were as diabolical as the above.

But the thing is, certain American's (you know they would take offense at you calling them Yanks...) did actually enjoy killing civilian Vietnamese. You can get these types in the army, and I'm taking a wild guess that you have no idea of the effect a dirty war has on a soldier, especially those with an average age of 19...

Audience whooping? You can't stop some patriotic American's, even if they were misguided. This alone does not make it a bad film. You saw it in the states then I guess?

As for most of the cast being on LSD and (shock) alcohol. Well, find me a film star/celeb who doesn't do one of these. If the actors were on LSD, then it can be considered method acting as drug use amongst soldiers was rife. Comparing this fact against Schindler's List is a stupid argument.

If you didn't like the film, then fair enough. However, I think the points you made were flawed and a little naive.

As already mentioned, because they are similar to Disaster Movie in the sense that they are spoof films, that are churned out every year, constantly getting poor reviews (bar perhaps Scary Movie 1, which was at the time a fresh concept). What are you not getting here?

If you haven't seen the other films, then obviously you're not in a position to compare them. And though I struggle to believe you haven't heard of any of them, I was just replying to your ridiculous post about comparing 5 completely different films and reaching a prediction as to how good Disaster Movie would be.

'Get over it' is pretty appalling. Boo Shane West in that!!
Even cheesier than high school musical (which i surprisingly liked i'm afraid to say) :)

I'm guessing you won't be queueing up to watch the TV version then!:p

There are a lot of films named in this thread that I've not had the pleasure(?) of seeing and judging by some of the comments I've not missed much!

I'll add Godzilla to the mix or as I call it, Godawfulzilla. Actually I'd also add Stargate which is yet another of Roland Emmerich's atrocites and The Day After Tomorrow. How that man gets to continue making films is beyond me!

Very nice, lol. In all fairness, it was more the sound of the toilet flushing every other minute that bothered me more than the film, although I was more than a little upset it wasn't as good as it could have been. Still, it's Mulder and Scully, so I can't complain too much. Just a bit of a half arsed story and a lot of things just didn't make much sense to me. The FBI are trying to coax Mulder out of hiding, offering a trade for his freedom and the pardon on his murder conviction...and he turns out to be just bunking with Scully - at her registered address. Only little things though.

For fear of sounding like a "film critic" again, i am not really getting this whole anticipation thing that people have whenever M. Night Shyamalan makes a new film, he hasn't made a decent film since Unbreakable and that was ages ago, everything he has done since then has been arbitrary drivel.

Anchorman... dull duller dullsville.

I liked the cast but jeez, apparently i needed to be drunk to enjoy this, ha. Crap.

Oh i didnt actually pay for this, but still :p
