...IS THIS A GOOD DECISION? My decided system will be a web based system (i.e. hope to implement the system via Web Browser). I selected PHP and MySQL since they are FREE & open source.

IS THIS COMBINATION CAPABLE OF DEVELOPING SUCH A SYSTEM??

Any advices, links and samples are highly appreciated.
