I know this is rather long but i would really, really appreciate it if you could take your time and read it.
Ok, me and my friend are both 18, she passed her test in October and i'm learning. I've had about 5 lessons so far. Anyway, me and her were just driving around last night, about 8pm and she said i could have a little go in her car if i wanted, so i said ok. So, i was driving down this long strip of road and i had to overtake a learner drive, but i lost control of the car and we went smashing over a curb and into a bollard and one of those green, electrical box things. We were both ok, except my back hurts a far bit and her chest. She called her mom, explained what happened and understandably her mom was furious! Her car is totally smashed up, well the front of it. Basically, i don't know what to do. It's not entirely my fault, she let me have a go in her car without learner plates and knowing i had only had 5 lessons in total. She said i have to pay half towards repairs which is fine.
The big problem is though, that her mom said to say the accident was caused by a tire blowout. I told my mom and my step-dad that and they believed it. The crash happened outside some factories too, and we're are both terrified that the factories have CCTV, if so she will loose her licence, i will get done for driving without ANY insurance and if there is CCTV the police with be notified and we will have to pay for smashing up that green, electrical box thing. I don't want to loose my best friend over this, i love her to bits
Just any advice on this would be good please, i'm still in complete shock and i hate lying to my mom and that, know one else knows about what REALLY happened except me, my friend and her mom. I don't know what exactly i'm asking, i just needed to tell someone else the truth on what happened, i'm so worried!
