i come to a stop and the bike just turns off.?

when starting my motorcycle i got to play with the throttle to get going, on stops i have to keeping reving. but i did put regular gas in it. is that the problem? if it is, best solution?

- 1989 honda vtr 250 interceptor
- i changed the batttery so its good togo
