I can't wait until Obama becomes president just so

have you done the research to know the reasons behind his voting? such as voting against the partial birth abortion bill because it had a lot of other phrasing attached to it that would've called a fetus a human being and therefore in essence overturned Roe V. Wade? He did not just vote willy-nilly against good ideas. There are a lot of good reasons for his voting.

Simple, and like i stated before
the President is not a dictator...his impact on the economy is negligible at best, and if anything is more of a spokesperson who is supposed to rally the public in times of need, address us on the State of the Union, and surround himself with smart advisors/individuals who won't ruin our Federal agencies into the ground (cough cough Michael Brown FEMA, cough) or ruin our capacity to defend ourselves by stretching army resources thin, like our national guard (meant for protecting the homeland, now mostly in Iraq...cough)
Now how is having most of your top advisors being former Bush aids set the country in a good direction?

"Barack Obama has voted with a majority of his Democratic colleagues 96.0% of the time during the current Congress."

If he's so full of hope and change then why does he vote for the status quo 96% of the time?

Face it, he's just another politician that is leading us exactly in the same direction our country is going. He's just charismatic, and most American people can't see through the facade.

And how does the burning of american flags, chanting of death to america help us?

Hmm Obama seems to have a reversed effect on foreign nations. A good one! Wow what are the odds?

Why would I vote for someone who's ahead in the polls? I've been an Obama supporter for a little over a year now. Anyway, since it's down to him or McCain, I can tell you John would screw over this country more than Obama that's for sure. He has turned into a sleeze ball.

"status quo"? voting against his party would be voting for the republican view - how is that change? many of the votes were bi-partisan, as well.

just to clarify, you're saying he should've voted against his party. and you're saying what the democrats were voting YES to was wrong, every time.

and seriously? the washington post? really?

Shut the fuck up. This wasn't a thread listing the reasons why I am voting for Obama. It's one of them. If I was going to make a compelling thread listing details, then I would have. You're way off point.

Uhm the only thing in washington that is remotely republican is the office..... i do believe that majority of congress is held by democrats. the same democrats that sat back and did nothing while blaming the office for everything.

Hahaha Really? Wow! I know plenty of troops serving in Iraq for example...but none of them know how the orders they receive, equipment that arrives, or funding for their respective missions is handled in the context of the broader objective. Nor can you keep tabs on every memo, statistic, etc which has backed up information and various historical accounts of how or why things transpire the way they do

quit your bitching, you elect a President to office who sets the agenda than hires "smart people"-key word there- to help push it through. NOT FORMER BUSH AIDS.
