i cant sync photos onto my iphone plz help!!?

i cant sync photos onto my iphone because my iphone doesnt have the folder "photos" in the library when connected to itunes on my mac...how can i get this folder so that i can sync photos...or can i sync photos from iphoto?.....plz help plzpzlpz
