I read this book some time ago...
It is about a girl who's parents died in a plane crash... Her parents were journalist etc...
Her brother comes and he goes to school in somewhere in the desert and he has to go back but he has people following him from the school so he won't give no information about it to anyone.
The girls brother leaves and the girl has to live with her dad's cousin or step brother and his wife... in New York.
Within there she meets a gypsy named Angel Moon and they go on a quest to go save her brother that's in danger.
