i cant play ps2 games online through ps3?

i'm going crazy here. i play my ps3 wirelessly and all my games connect perfectly. so when i tried some ps2 games online through my ps3, 2 out of maybe 20 games worked. killzone and smackdown vs raw(the original). so why is it that when i try smackdown vs raw 06 and 07 it reads no network adapter available? all my games say the same thing in fact. please please please help me out.
 
You can't play all ps2 games on the ps3. They dont all work but if you go to sony.com you can find out what games work.
