i just bought a sony cdx-gt34w, and i set up just like it shows in the manual, but for some reason, just like my old stereo, it wont turn on till i hook the 12v constant up to the illuminate wire. whats wrong with it? i would like to listen to my stereo without running the lights

12v Constant, i have it hooked up like this, Yellow-Orange, it only turns on like this, when i have it, Yellow-Yellow it wont work even though they are both the 12 v constant wire.
