i can't install adobe flash player on firefox?

i have firefox 3.5 and i tried installing the latest version of adobe flash player multiple times. I still cannot go on certain websites and view things, it still says i have to get it. In the Add On's section, under plugins, adobe flash player doesn't not show. i already tried restarting my computer..
 
i have the same fn problem! i download it, and hit the install button, and it says it is downloaded. but then when i go to the site. it says i still need to download it. someone pls help us!
