I cant get on the internet with the Wii

I've done fuckin everything! Always error code 52230 - Cant connect to the internet.

Router is set to mixed (b and g)
tried channels 1, 6, and 11
there is no mac filtering
there is no WEP/WPA/any security
I cant do a wired connection because of my setup.

any other ideas?

You said you cannot do a wired connection to the internet which I assume means you are running wireless. What device are you using for wireless that is connected to the Wii?

Or does the Wii come with wifi?

I'm using my neighbours internet to connect. I don't have a wireless router so instead of spending the money to buy one (which is pointless since I live on my own and don't need a router) I searched and found 2 unsecured ones.

It does. You have to buy an extra component for the Wii if you want to plug a cord into it instead of wireless

For the OP, does it even see your wireless network SSID?

yes. and it has full green bars. it just fails the testing connection screen every time.

I was having the same problem, so i bought a Nintendo wifi adaptor and I STILL cant connect.

I changed to channel 11 and it worked fine for me. But you said you already tried that so anything more than that im not sure of.

I was having that problem too. I got pissed and tried it a few minutes later and it worked. Dont know.

Try a hard reset on the router.

Sounds like a setting is wrong on it.

How far is the router from the Wii? How strong is the signal?

My brother had a problem connecting as well, he reset the Wii and router and it worked.
