...everything, and im lost. help? I'm waiting to get a new battery, so for now to try and fix my bike (get it to run) I've been using a car battery. I can crank it over, and the engine turns, but none of the lights work, none of the gauges move, and i took the spark plugs out and i tried to see if they sparked and they don't, even when i connected the jumper cables directly to the spark plug, no spark. I think it might be a cable thats broken or shorted or something, but the way the bike is wired i CANT get to all of the wires much less figure out where the problem is. I checked all the fuses and they're all fine, the starter is wired directly to the battery, thats why its the only thing working. What should i do? I'm trying to fix this by myself, ive basically taken everything apart and put it back together, but im afraid to really dig into the electrical system because thats my weak point when it comes to cars and bikes. Should i just take it to a shop? (don't have a trailer for the bike, would be a HUGE hassle) and if i did, how much do you think it would cost me to have someone diagnose the exact problem?
