I just purchased a Honda C90. Let me start by letting you know how my wiring looks.
1. I have no ignition with the key but its ok cuz I know what wires to hot wire it with.
2. all the bulbs are broken. no head light, tail light or turn signal bulb.
3. I am relatively confident that all of the wires are plugged in to the correct places.

I just purchased a new battery and plugged it in. but Im not getting spark to the spark plug when I crank it over. I tried splicing wires. this gives me a spark only at the moment when I connect the wires to the battery. but still no ignition when I try to crank it over. my points look good. and the coil looks good to but I noticed that I have oil in the coil compartment. I think it should have oil in it but I am not sure. If you know then I would appreciate it if you let me know.
Question. how can I just splice some wires and try to get spark just to see if it works. (hot wire it) if you know what the problem mite be then let me know. any knowledge would help. thank you.
