I can't find out what's wrong with my car. Help?

This has been happening for a little over 2 weeks. Every time I make a right turn, I start hearing a sort of grinding. That's all. After I make that turn, the grinding continues, and stops after a little while, until I make another right turn. As the rpm goes up on the car, the griding gets louder as well. I took my car to Midas last month, and they diagnosed my car saying that my steering rack needed to be replaced since it was leaking power steering fluid. Everything else under the hood is flawless. This grinding did not happen during that time. My car is a 1995 Nissan Altima with 116,000 miles on it. Could it be a transmission problem? Are the gears grinding, or are those my wheels needing an alignment. Please help!
