Here's what I do with any universal remote:
1 - Turn TV on
2 - Hold the "program" button down on universal remote until light stays on
3 - Press and release the "TV" button
4 - Slowly press and release the "Power" button on universal remote over and over until TV turns off
5 - Press "Enter" on universal remote
These are the steps that I use when I don't know or can't find the TV code for my specific TV. It has worked for me every time on every universal remote I've ever used. Hope it helps.
