I came across Nokia Universal Codes

FYI in case it wasn't mentioned already, a few of (if not all) of these codes work on all phones, not just Nokia's.
 
hi...maybe a stupid question, but how do you use these? Do you just type them in? Do you need to push the call button?
 
Every phone has only one LDI or Liquid display indicator, it oftenly seen on the back of PC board or in near battery slot.

How many times i can enter a wrong code before the phone is hard-locked?

I don't know why, but number 1 doesn't work not just for me but some of my office mates too.
 
theres this one code to reset the security code. got it off the internet:

''*#7328748263373738# resets security code.
Default security code is 12345''

but does anybody know where to type it if you dont know the security code in the first place.
