I burned my arm with steam while cooking and now there's a 2ish inch wide

huge blister there? It hurts. It looks disgusting. I don't know what to do! :/
It's a circle with about the diameter of two quarters put side by side and the blister is about 1/2 - 3/4in in height.
I really want to pop it but I don't know if it's safe with such a big blister...is it?
It's out in the open right now, what should I do with it?
Help, please!

Don't pop it. Cover it with a bandage and triple antibiotic ointment and check it several times a day. If any signs of infection such as more redness than now or any puss arrives you need to have it seen immediately so that the infection wouldn't spread.
 
First thing, dont pop the blister. If it breaks on its own, that's okay, but you want to keep it intact as long as possible to keep it from getting infected. apply a wet cloth or towel to the blister followed by a dry cloth. Try to make the cloth stay in place since i'm sure you want to sleep tonight. Make an appt to see the doc on monday (unless you can go to the walkin clinic in the am) so that he can check it for infection and give you some medicine. take tylenol for pain. good luck.
 
First, what are you still doing, asking questions. Go to the hospital.. that would be the smartest thing to do. What if you pop it and you get an infection. dont risk it... Good Luck
