I bought my first bike today?

I'm 12. I went to walmart and bought my first bike. I got a moutain bike. Can I drive this around my neighborhood? Will it not ride good cause its a mountain bike and I'm riding it on concrete?

Another thing is, how do I get the stand up? You know that keeps the bike from falling when you're not riding it? It doesn't say how to in the instructions. It doesn't even mention it in the instructions.
 
mountain bike are good for anything mostly yes and yes.

Get the stand down by pushing it downwards if its new its probably just a little stiff so don't be afraid of braking it they are pretty tough
 
Well I got 2 mountain bikes and I ride them a lot more around my neiborhod then in a mountain and shouldnt there be that little stand thingy on the side of it and you pull it it makes it stand up
 
Yes, you should be able to ride around your neighborhood. A mountain bike is great for the road too because it wont hurt as bad if you hit bumps or whatever. And the stand your talking about should be the kick stand - located near the back wheel. Hope this helps and enjoy your new bike!
