75,000 miles, the car is in great condition. Many new parts, bought it from an elderly neighbor who hardly ever drove it. He had it for sale and it sat for 5 months because no one knew he was selling it. He cranked it about every 2 days. I drove it with no problems for about 10 days, got in it the other day to go to work, and it wouldn't crank. My dad said it was the fuel pump, and sure enough it wasn't working so we replaced it and it cranked right up. So now, just every now and then it won't crank-seems to be doing the same thing. My husband thinks where it sat so long, the fuel filter is clogged. He took it off and said it didn't seem to have anything in it, blew air through it and put it back on. When you accelerate, it tries to "bog down" a little, like it just can't get enough fuel, but only around 25-30 miles per hour. I am afraid to turn the car off in fear of it not cranking. It's been 3 days since it left me stranded, what could it be?

it is definetely the distributor cap and rotor. If it is coil, then it is the coil. This has happend to my cadillac when it rained or was humid out. It could also be spark plugs and wires.

Let me see... You checked the fuel filter... Replaced Fuel pump...

Check and see if your fuel lines or the fuel injectors have build up/partially clogged. Go to an Auto zone or Napa, and get a high in fuel system cleaner, run it low on gas and replace the fuel with high grade. Start her up, and let it run for a while, slowly give it more gas to rev it up to a steady pace. Give it about 20-30 minutes of this, turn it off, wait a while, then just get in, and go for a drive.

I mean it would be hard for me to give you advice much past that because I can't really see or hear your car. Hope that helps.
