...box. ? The box that the speakers came i'n took up too much space after a while. I built a box that fit under my back seat and put those speakers i'n there. Well when I turn up my stereo my amp goes i'n protect mode. The way wires are i'n the Sony box is different from how I wired them up i'n my custom box. The Sony box has one set up for the wire (1 posative 1 negative) the posative port has a red wire running to 1 (a)speaker and the negative port is running to the other (b) speaker and they have another wire running from speaker (a) negative to speaker (b) posative. Which seemed odd. The box I built I did what I thought was correct and went possative to posative and negative to negative. After I installed my custom bow I turned it up and the protect mode came on. I had them i'n that Sony box and it never went to protect mode. Should I copy what was done i'n the Sony box or is that a bad idea? The Sony box has a 6" ported hole and I have no port on my custom box therefore trapping heat whit I was afraid might possibly cause problems later
