I believe I may be dyslexic -- should I talk to my guidance counsellor?

I've had these problems my whole life, however they never bothered me so much, recently (I'm in the 10th grade), they've been becoming a problem, and are bothering me. When I read things on the paper move around, and I get a headache, and start to feel like i'm going to be sick if I read for longer then 10 minetus. I've always had problems writing (I hold my pencil with a fist), and my handwriting is illegable. Its embarrising to admit, but I also have problems with left/right, and reading clocks. I count with my fingers still, and I can barely do my maths, its to the point I have a F in Algebra 2.
My friend, who's dyslexic, mentioned that these things sound like dyslexia, and that I should get it checked out, however when I told my parents they said "What ever, you would have complained about it before, your just stressed", but as i said earlir, these things never bothered me enough to mention it before. (In 3rd grade, I did take specail tutring, because I couldn't write yet, and I have a speech problems. I stutter, and have problems putting sentinces together. I also say things with r's as w's. like rat is wat :/ Oh back on topic, when I was taking the tutering, the lady mentioned i may be dyslexic, but my parents never took me to be checked.)
