verterbra...I met with the judge? today and he wants proof that I had this condition back in 92..I have called all old dr.s and they said they destroyed the documents after 7 yrs..The judge said he will research and try to find something from my old drs and the Ist application for disability from 92...MY QUESTION is...Does NYS have a database from 18 yrs ago?? This is my only chance to prove I had this condition back then...but nobody seems to have the records...I don't want to hire a lawyer, but I may have to!! Thank you in advance for your knowledge on this subject!!!
 
And, what are you trying to prove, if your disabled, now what ? SSI is for a disability, if you have a disability then you should be able to get any doctor to verify that without going back 18years. All hospitals have their records. I recently got my records from a hospital 1900 miles away where I went 14 years ago, got them in three days. Hospitals, doctors do not throw away records, they may transcribe them into disc form but, they have them.
