I applied for january 2009 for the fafsa; do I have to apply again for the fall

semester to get financial aid? I mean in january 2009 I applied for the fafsa for the spring semester.

i got financial aid for that semester which i didnt use cuz i didnt go to collge yet.

Now Do I need to apply for the FAFSA again to get financial aid for the Fall semester?
 
when you applied in january it should cover fall of 09 and spring of 2010, you'll need to aplly again around january of 2010 for fall of 2010
 
You should apply at the beginning of each calendar year for the upcoming fall and spring semesters. The deadline for this past school year's fafsa is June 30, 2009. So you could have completed either one when you did it in January.

If you applied in January it could have been for this past school year or for the coming school year. Go online to FAFSA and see which one you completed. If you haven't done one for the 09-10 school year, you can pull the information from your last year's fafsa to your next year's fafsa. It's not too late.
 
I'm pretty sure that you don't. I've gone to college both as an undergraduate and a graduate student and I've only ever had to fill out the FAFSA once per year. However, I have never applied and not used the financial aid that was offered. Just to make sure, you should contact the financial aid office of the school you plan to attend. They can tell you with certainty what you need to do.
