I applied for financial aid, received my award letter. and i need help!?

I want to know, if the Stafford loan is a whole different loan that its not mention within the Award Letter. In other words, for the Stafford loan i would have to apply online since that loan is not provided on the award letter, right?
hopefully you guys understood me. Thx.
