name for them? I have tried to find them and not having much luck. Is it possible to order them online from somewhere? Can we install them ourselves? Is it possible to make one. I was told they are about 1200-1500.00. Is this true, if so why so expensive? Do they come in different sizes- width, height, style?

We have one now in the place we rent and I would like to get one when we move to help make the kitchen look bigger and nicer. Is there another solution instead of this type of window that would be great but not as expensive? Give me your ideas and thoughts please.
The place we will be in doesn't have windows on one hole side of the apt. This is an add on to a house, converted two car garage and some extra to equal approx. 700 sq ft, if that! Not real big. A 2 bedroom, 1 bath.
