I am trying to run a coax cable for my cb radio. where on a 2008 dodge ram 2500

There should be factory holes in the back of the cab that are just plugged with rubber. All you have to do is remove it, run your coax through and under your carpet to the mounting position.
 
if you have to drill for that hole just don't drill it on the back of the cab run it down under the cab and drill through the floor board and come back up with it,if you drill through the back of the cab i guarantee you it will start leaking water when it rains,been there and done it before,good luck.
 
Regular cab or quad, remove the cargo light, put the hole just far enough ahead to miss light when reinstalled. Run the cable down through the back of the cab behind the seat. It is an easy run, you can almost put your arm up through the gap. Pull up the carpet and run it under the carpet to the mounting position.
